Latest Addition: A Fisherman’s Cottage Perched Above the Sea

A stone’s throw from Trevone Beach in Cornwall, the most recent addition to the Atlanta Trevone collection, ‘The Net Loft’, is an eccentric fisherman’s house with a mix of old and custom-made pieces designed by studio of the moment HÁM Interiors. The deceptively spacious Net Loft is an ode to its history as a former fisherman’s house storing crabbing and lobster pots. The design is influenced and inspired by maritime history, local smuggling and fishing folklore, and the surrounding far-reaching sea views and dramatic landscape.

The cottage features cosy interiors characterised by rich earthy tones and unexpected pops of colour, combined with a mix of intriguing art pieces, treasures and locally sourced antiques, creating a flawless, timeless sense of style and effortless charm that is so often hard to find. The house is also home to furniture collected from across the centuries, timber-boarded walls made from beautifully aged cheeseboards, pine and stone cobbled floors.

A few favourite features of The Net Loft include the surf gallery where a Californian vibe pervades and a statement wetsuit drying tub sits alongside a vintage Tigger Newling surfboard; an outdoor zinc bath by William Holland; a cinema room; private courtyard; and glimpses of Trevone’s infamous blowhole and beach from the living area and various cosy reading nooks.

HOW: The Net Loft sleeps four with Short Stays from £1200 and Summer stays from £4,200 per week. www.atlantatrevonebay.com
